Dixie Jane White passed away Aug. 22, 2010.

She was born Sept. 28, 1933, to Dell and Edna Zeller Johnson, both deceased, in Woody, Calif., and was a resident of Amargosa Valley for over 30 years.

Dixie was a long time employee of American Borate Company where she worked as a lab technician.

Dixie grew up in the small town of Woody with her three sisters, Barbara Johnson Albitre, Alma Johnson Chambers and Dell Johnson Marshall deceased .

Surviving are her husband of over 59 years, Fred White, and their five children, Sandra White Selbach of Pahrump, Clinton White of Amargosa Valley, Genevieve White Albitre of Elko, Rhonda White Cronon of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and Fred White of Amargosa Valley; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in her honor to the Amargosa Senior Center, HCR 69 Box 428, Amargosa Valley, NV 89801.
