Last weekend two events on tap gave PVT photographer Horace Langford Jr. an opportunity to capture them for the paper.

Nathan Adelson Hospice hosted the annual Blue Butterfly Coffee House Saturday in the Pahrump Nugget Events Center.

A number of community members and businesses contributed to the entertainment, which hailed back to the 1940s and 50s.

In the Saddle West Showroom, Johnny “V” hosted an Elvis Convention which brought a number of talented impersonators to the stage.

The event benefitted the Pediatric Children’s Foundation in support of children who have survived brain tumor surgery.

Another convention is scheduled for November at the Gold Strike Casino in Jean.
