PVT – “I don’t think anybody should take the actions of the board member and the town manager as trying to circumvent anything,” he said. “They were just trying to get information. We met for about an hour. We didn’t get down to nuts and bolts.
State Sen. Mike McGinness told the PVT he doesn’t agree with some critics who believe Bill Kohbarger and other town officials were trying to do an end run around the residents.
“They were talking about some of the problems the town was having. I don’t blame them for coming up here and making the effort. They’re not trying to do anything except what they feel the town should be able to do for citizens.”
He admitted that, as of Wednesday evening, he hadn’t had a chance to look at the study given to him by the Pahrump delegation.

What a coincidence, nobody else has had a chance to look at the study either!
Not true, I have. Somewhere here I have a copy. It doesn’t give any direction as to whether to do it or not. As far as I am concerned it was another wasted $38,000.
Pssst….’Wanna buy a poll to go with that study?
I am sorry.. but even to SUGGEST that we force a “city” on this town after the number or times the people have said no, means we need to fire our town manager RIGHT AWAY.
If you have ever met this guy, he is like a ticking timebomb waiting to yell at you.. he is not looking out for our best interest.
KNYE, and all the stations sponsors need to speak out against the shameful behavior of Karen and her dedicating two full days to spreading lies and rumors about Kohbarger and Parker. I WILL NOT SPEND ONE PENNY IN THEIR BUSINESSES UNTIL THEY DO SO!
Mika, you must be a product of the school system. This article clearly states THIS ALL WAS A LIE ….funny how the article disproving the rumors is minuscule compared to the one damning them.
Karen Jackson of KNYE should be congratulated for exposing Bill Kohbarger and Vicky Parker for what they REALLY are – enemies of the voting public!
That’s okay; I’ll make up for it by spending more.
Well said FEDUP; because all of the medial outlets in this town seem to be short on the ethics in journalism; I believe the hype and hysteria sell versus what the real facts are or what was really said. But hey it sells their products or increases their listener numbers.
The senior vote isn’t the only important one in town. WE all have a say in the future of this town. It’s easier to hate I guess than really come up with solutions.
